Update!

                                          Friends

Priority #1. I have new photographic evidence that I have made friends in Minneapolis. I have spent the past couple of weeks regretting that I didn’t take pictures of anyone the night we had people over, because as we’ve all learned—> if pictures of it aren’t on the internet, then it didn’t happen. On Tuesday several friends and I participated in a Trivia contest sponsored by the girl-lawyers club (not the official name) and we wore all pink because it was raising money for breast cancer. Even though we didn’t win, we sure had fun answering questions and intimidating other teams with glares.

Priority #2. I mentioned a few posts back that I did really well on my midterms. It was so affirming to have these results back. Many law schools do not have midterms because they like their students to live in constant fear. But my warm-fuzzy law school likes us to have a marker of our progress, and for that I am very grateful. I know that my study-habits (study all the time, only hang-out with Joe, cry yourself to sleep) are working and that I am on the right track! Hopefully by continuing on this track I will have similar results come finals. 

Priority #3. It is starting to get cold. Even as I type this I feel the local Minnesotans looking over my shoulder saying “Oh gaaash, its not cold. Don’t be so silly! You betcha it’ll get colder, this is crisp fall weather around here.” And I glare at them. Today’s high is 52, but it was 34 while I biked…downhill…to school this morning. I can feel everyone in the lounge looking at me while I take off layer after layer of coats, scarves, and gloves (yes, layers of gloves) and shove them in my locker. I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU THINK OF ME I’M FROM SC AND I’M ALREADY COLD. WAHHHHHH.

Priority #4. At least when other people start wearing jackets I’ll be able to get all hipster on them and say “Hey, I was cold before it was cool” and employ topical humor and a pun in one sentence. Also, one of the best things about it getting colder is how cute Joe looks in scarves and sweaters. Swoon.
